Have you ever tasted the beer from the top of a captured yeast cake? See attached pic. I am on batch 81 and this has always been GREAT tasting beer. :rockin: Your experience?

I am going to bottle this and prime it to see if it stays as good carbonated.

I do the same with the hop trub after fermenting a iipa. I put it all into a small purged vessel with a strainer bag. The bag is held off the bottom by pulling the bag up and holding it in place with the lid. The resulting ' hop drippings ' Are AMAZING. It is an oily hop tea. I usually drink it uncarbonated in a wine glass :)
