I have been using a yeast slurry of Bry 97 four or five generations I am now getting lower gravities by about 4 to 6 points. While I like the free alcohol and I don't taste any off flavors, but I have a Lead tongue. Is this a common occurrence and are their any potential pitfalls I should be looking for. The last two brews were a 1.060 blonde and Ed Worts pale. both have finished under 1.010. I have been pitching about 16 ounce cup of slurry. I do believe for my next Ed Worts pale I will try either Notty or US-05 for a little better hop flavor or Pop.:mug:

If you're going under 1.010 with no odd flavors, you're good. I've done 6 batches before I retire the yeast. I've heard of people going 10 batches with proper washing and pitching. You can't go wrong with Notty, US05, or BRY97. Those are my go to yeast.
