I just pitched the yeast (about an hour ago) and i see this at the bottom of the fermentor (i often see this stuff). Is is yeast? proteins?

What is it? The yeast us wlp570 belgian golden ale yeast and its a low floculent. Made a 1 liter starter2 days ago, refrigirated it and pitched at about 8 degrees colder than the wort

How dhould i stir the fermentor?

I personally wouldnt worry about it. I am not confident all of that is yeast. Prob hot/cold break (proteins) as mentioned before. The yeast are living, just let it ride.

Edit: You did aerate before pitching correct?

Yes i did, although i do not yet have pure O2 tank, i splashed, mixed, whisked the hell out of it for about ten minutes

I roused up the sediments with my auto syphon. Fermentation started at 4hr mark. Noe its getting intense. Do yeah, was not very worried, but always wondered what that stuff was before fermentation started
