I'm going to be brewing a Pale Ale.

My plan was to use Wyelabs 1098 British Ale yeast....

However, I have some yeast from a batch of Oatmeal Stout, WLP002 English Ale....

Would the WLP002 be appropriate to use?

Depends on what you're going for. The 002 is considerably less attenuative than the 1098. Use the 002 if you're going for something a little sweeter and the 1098 if you want something drier.
