Hey all,

I had my fridge slightly warmer than normal as our milk was freezing near the back of the fridge. Upon doing a temp check, the water inside was around 44F. I know Wyeast says there max temp for storage is 40F I believe. Is this going to be an issue? I have since turned the fridge down even cooler until I use the yeast this weekend. It was only like this for maybe 12 hours until I adjusted the temperate down to below 40F. I assume this won't be an issue over just a few degrees for such a relativity short amount of time, but I want to make sure.

Thanks for all the help!

I wouldn't sweat a few degrees for a few hours.

I think it'll be fine. I've had Wyeast packs that arrived warm, and some that ended up nearly freezing in the back of the fridge, and things turned out fine. I almost always make a starter too which helps you know ahead of time if it's viable.
