I had burst the inner packet in a bag of propagator in order to make a starter, but then managed to break my flask. So now I have a puffed up bag of yeast, but I don't have time to make another starter tonight as I'm heading out for the night. will this bag be good tomorrow? should I put it back in the fridge for the night?

thanks!

jonny

Don't you have any old pickle jars, milk jugs, or even baby food jars? It is only 50mL of yeast, so even 250mL of fresh wort will hold it for days.

maybe I'm not explaining it quite right. the yeast is still in the bag (puffed) I was boiling water with DME to add it to, and I broke the flask and lost the liquid. no time to make more. can I put the yeast back in the fridge, or should I leave it out until tomorrow? or is it a lost cause?

Awesome. I had to run out before I saw your answer but I threw it in the fridge hoping that's what you'd say. Thanks so much!
