The absolute worst song that I've heard this year is Godsmack's murdering of the Led Zeppelin classic "Good Times, Bad Times". Definitely bad times........:rockin:

Anyone who likes anything nickelback has ever done should be put in the stocks in the town square for a couple days while everyone who actually has some semblance of taste in music throws rotten fruit at them.
Just sayin, is all...:D

It's becoming eerily strange how similar our tastes are Evan......Ruth Bader Ginsburg;)....I couldn't agree more with the above quote.
It will be interesting to see if you agree with one of my top picks for worst song(s) of '07... I'm suprised no one has said it yet actually:

Amen - Kid Rock

Whatya say Evan, do you hate it as much as me? Message aside people, that song is awful. Reminds me of Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady....anybody get that?

I quit going out to the bar this year simply because I would hear that "Crazy Bitch" song 6 times in one night. Worst song ever.

You know what pretty much any top 40 stuff was horrible. I dont listen to the radio but SWMBO does....so I had to hear it...she doesnt like punk rock.

I got suckered into going to a Nickelback show this past summer, and I totally agree with oyur thoughts. They did do a tribute to Pantera/Dimebag--that was freaking awesome, I have to admit. They had a cool video of Dimebag highlights while they rocked to 2 pantera songs.

I miss dimebag   :rockin: :rockin:
I watched the real story of pantera the other day. (even though I know it) I am still shocked that he left like that to this day.

Recently the rock stations on the radio been blowing goats. If I get fortunate enough to catch it when they are actually playing music (seems like there a re talk shows morning and afternoon) the songs are axx.

I've started listening to alot of country music lately. Kind of a big shift for me.

Another confirmation of why I haven't listened to top 40 radio since 1983. I would guess Casey Kasem would do something like, "coming up next at number 36 is....OMFG I can't do this anymore, I'm outahere."

+1 - that song is awful.....and repetitive. Bad combination. We're coming up with some very bad songs.

Amen! I was in the supermarket the other day and a thirty-someting guy with his kid in the cart actually had that song as his ringtone! He answered, Hi honey.......!!!

Any country song PERIOD. Country is not music, it is guys or gals who sing well but do it along with monkeys playing instruments in the background. Dont get me wrong I CANT STAND the pop rock, hip hop crap. But C'mon, country is the saddest excuse for music. I can play a tin can better than the background to country singers, they would do better on american idol with no background music... or excuse me... no background noise.

Anyway... Bring on the Zeplin, Nirvana, or any other true rock band that plays for the music and not the money or fame. Which means look between the 60's and early 90's rock and roll and you probably found actual music.

music (myū'zĭk) (n) The art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous, unified, and evocative composition, as through melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre.
Vocal or instrumental sounds possessing a degree of melody, harmony, or rhythm.

Hmmm... I'm no fan of country music myself, but it certainly does seem to fit the description.;)
