Every year about this time we get all the 'lists' of the previous year - best and worst TV shows, movies, public goof-ups, dead celebrities, best songs, etc. But what about the songs you never want to hear again.

Well, here are mine:

"Young Folks" - Pete, Bjorn and John
"Rehab" - Amy Winehouse
"Gimme More" - Britney Spears
"Rockstar" - Nickelback
"Hey There, Delilah" - Plain White T's
Anything by KT Tunstall

Any techno dance remake, and anything in which no ones plays an actual misucal instrument - and no, a mixer is not a musical instrument.

that Incubus song they're playing now where the guy breathes into the microphone like hah hah....

Basically anything played on the radio, or prime time television, sucks bad. Real bad. I especially hate any form of reality TV. Excuse me, I LIVE in reality. When I sit down to watch the boob tube, the last thing I want is MORE reality. Stuff on the Discovery and Science channel is good. Im also quite fond of the drama's on HBO and Showtime, e.g. Dexter, Rome, Brotherhood, Deadwood, etc...all fantastic shows. Rome is quite possibly the best thing Ive ever seen on a television or in a theatre.

As far as the crap they play on the radio, words cant describe the scope of my hatred. "Umbrella ella ella, eh eh eh". Wtf is that? The only time I listen to the radio is when Im driving and it stays tuned to the public classical station. I cant tell you the difference between Bethoven, Motzart, or Chopan, but I can tell you that that is basically ALL I listen to. I dont know, it just brings me peace.

Now that I think about it, not much in this world makes me happy. Bah humbug.

Anyone who likes anything nickelback has ever done should be put in the stocks in the town square for a couple days while everyone who actually has some semblance of taste in music throws rotten fruit at them.

Just sayin, is all...:D

Did "Bringing Sexy Back" come out this year? God, I HATE that song. Also anything K-Fed did sucks

I didn't say I like anything else they did but I like Rockstar( if you ever thought about being a star that song covers it all) and Billy Gibbons in the background is cool.

I've never heard any of these songs and don't know any of those "artists".

Happy, happy! Joy, joy!

Not that I don't agree with you, but I'm curious as to an example of what you consider "taste".

I thought maybe it was just me but TV really sucks anymore. That and how many channels does CSI need to be on, seems like whenever I change channels there is a CSI show on.

One thing good this year I thought was the Dolores O'Riordan CD, I just love to hear her sing. If you haven't listened to it you might want to give it a shot. The new Within Temptation CD was pretty good too.

"Hey There, Delilah" - Plain White T's

I could not possible agree with you more about a horrible song than I do on this song... It takes less than five notes of the song for me to pop in a cd.

anything by

White Stripes
My Chemical Romance
Modest Mouse

That new Sublime song..... no, wait a sec....they just play the same 3 songs over and over like they are new songs.

I got suckered into going to a Nickelback show this past summer, and I totally agree with oyur thoughts. They did do a tribute to Pantera/Dimebag--that was freaking awesome, I have to admit. They had a cool video of Dimebag highlights while they rocked to 2 pantera songs.

The absolute worst song that I've heard this year is Godsmack's murdering of the Led Zeppelin classic "Good Times, Bad Times". Definitely bad times........:rockin:

It's becoming eerily strange how similar our tastes are Evan......Ruth Bader Ginsburg;)....I couldn't agree more with the above quote.
It will be interesting to see if you agree with one of my top picks for worst song(s) of '07... I'm suprised no one has said it yet actually:

Amen - Kid Rock

Whatya say Evan, do you hate it as much as me? Message aside people, that song is awful. Reminds me of Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady....anybody get that?

I quit going out to the bar this year simply because I would hear that "Crazy *****" song 6 times in one night. Worst song ever.

You know what pretty much any top 40 stuff was horrible. I dont listen to the radio but SWMBO does....so I had to hear it...she doesnt like punk rock.

I miss dimebag   :rockin: :rockin:
I watched the real story of pantera the other day. (even though I know it) I am still shocked that he left like that to this day.

Recently the rock stations on the radio been blowing goats. If I get fortunate enough to catch it when they are actually playing music (seems like there a re talk shows morning and afternoon) the songs are axx.

I've started listening to alot of country music lately. Kind of a big shift for me.
