I have had the misfortune of tasting Cave Creek Chili Beer. (http://www.chilibeer.com) The only possible explanation I can offer is: It seemed like a good idea at the time..... :-/

If you want a good laugh, convince someone else to try it and just watch the look on their face.

My wife hates sunset wheat, which to me indicates good taste. Although, she did marry me, so I guess her taste is a mixed bag.

Sunset Wheat= delicious. Summer Shandy= created to refresh you after mowing the lawn. SA cranberry lambic=inspired me to brew a better version. Its funny reading so many diff opinions on these beers. Im curious if people hate Leines b/c they are owned by miller. Take it for what it is, non traditional, not categorical beers that are different. Here in Michigan, we love shandy on the golf course. It flew off the shelf. Someone mentioned fireside....last year it tasted like they burned the malts in the fireplace, but its good again this year. People need to relax on "craft brewers" even as they expand.

Sunset Wheat is ok...I'll drink it if I have to (actually had one a couple days ago that a friend had left in my fridge), but I wouldn't buy a 6-pack if I had any choice. I think the Berry Weiss is worse. It has that same fake-fruity flavor, but it's just way too sweet, and it just ends up overpowering any other flavors. I'm not hating on Leinie's in general for being Miller-owned...their Summer Shandy is a good lawnmower beer, and the Fireside Nut Brown Ale and 1888 Bock are decent.

Amen man, I posted in the other worst beer thread that Cave Creek gets my vote for worst. beer. ever. That **** is vile. Not even worth trying for the novelty factor of a beer with a jalapeno in the bottle.

Ive had a few Leiny dumpers.Seldom come back ever for any but will try anything once or twice just to try it,to not dump would be a waste of a good beer to drink instead.

lol, somehow i didn't catch this...a year ago!? time flies

i don't think i knew Leine is Miller-owned when i posted this thread, but it makes sense that Miller would be interested :D

btw, i've had Leine's amber lager and thought it wasn't bad at all

Landshark Lager.. I have friends that like it, but I can't even finish a bottle. I find a Kokanee or Molson Canadian 100x more enjoyable. Maybe it's just me...

Olympia Gold.
Long ago .... only put the bottle to my lips because I was young and impressionable.
I think my comment was to "put it *back* in the horse".
I've had Top Hat, Buckhorn, Falstaff, Farmer Jack's NoBrand (the one with the red circle with a red slash thru it) ... but Olympia Gold was the worst.
I liked goddamned Heileman's Zing more than OG. Good thing they retired it.

i had a boontville celebration ale once.....or i should say i tried it, dumped it out.....

Bud Dry! That's all I can say otherwise I'll start having flashbacks.

i never drank bud dry, but i've put more then few millwaukee's ices away! bud dry sounds like hard seltzer?

Worst so far: my own batch # 1. And batch # 3. Number 2 made bottle bombs so it couldn't really make that list since I dumped it.

Evil twin brewing made a watermelon beer that tastes exactly like pickle juice. And magnify brewing just made a beer called egg hunt that was sour with vanilla ice cream both were 🤮. However they both make very good off the wall flavored beers these ones just didn’t work out for me.

Rogue Brewing’s Maple Bacon Ale. It smelled delicious, but tasted like I was drinking from an ash tray.

Some kids dropped most of a 30 pack in my drive, I think before a traffic stop they were anticipating... it was coors light or ice, forget which. My notions that I'd scored some free beer were gone as soon as I tasted my first can, and I chilled it first too.

100% agree. Reminded me of Liquid Smoke. Paid $15 for it and did not think twice before dumping that garbage down the sink. Might be the worst thing I’ve ever put in my mouth.
