Well, that's kinda the point... thing is, Walker REALLY didn't seem to mind at all... like, he was perfectly fine with it..... "OK, if you insist, I'll use that picture ;))

I don't know, you know him better that I do...

Not "that" well, thankfully. ;)

We really shouldn't be talking about him like this while he can't defend himself, but I'll bet he's a pretty ****ty homebrewer too. :p

That's why they make tents! A little cooler is fine with me! The rain sucks but it's just showers. I was wondering where Walker disappeared to....

Dude said:
Yeah...latest guess:

Saturday: Showers. Highs in the mid 60s and lows in the low 50s.

Could be ugly, because Friday is supposed to be nasty wet, lots of rain and wind.

I thought I read that the event is covered... anyone know for sure?

The beer will be covered, but at the fest in Raleigh the food tents and pottys and areas in between were not covered. The damn tents were packed enough with people, if it rains it could be a huge mess. We'll feel like sardines.

Jeff, I know we'll prolly be inside most of the evening, but should I bring my portable firepit and a few logs? We love sitting outside by the fire....anyone else?

I just took delivery on a 1/2 cord of firewood, so no worries there. I can borrow my buddy's firepit thingy or we can use the fireplace, depending on the weather.

I'm in hot pursuit of Hop Rod Rye. On my lunchbreak I hit the place that said they would have more in yesterday and of course they didn't have any. I called another place that says they have "about a case" in stock. We shall see..... but probably not until tomorrow.

Don't want to cause you trouble running all over--what you have now will be fine.
We'll give that to Walker--I can always make a trip up to Richmond one of these days. I'd like to go eat at Legend again soon anyway....

im crossing my fingers that the rain will hold off.. i can deal with cold..but not with rain.. my hair would be a muss!! LOL.. (just wanting to sound like a girl!)

See, I kind of got something out of this, too.

Sure, I had to switch to a Patriots-related avatar and change my sig, but I got to use an avatar that met the wager's requirements while also being an embarassment to NE Fans (or at least it SHOULD be an embarassment to yo NE fans.)

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow. What has our resident meteorologist got to say? Any last-minute details that need to be ironed out?

Just to confirm the plan, someone will be meeting me and the wife at the Holiday Inn in Cary around 11:15? We're going to be bring the chips and salsa, homemade lemon bars, the Hop Rod Rye, and some homebrew. We'll also have a bag with a change of clothes in case we get wet. Is there going to be enough room in the van for all this crap? Am I leaving anything else out? $10 or $20 each for poker? Can I possibly ask any more questions? :D

Awesome logo. :D

I work this afternoon, I'll send out an updated weather forecast then, after I look at some stuff.

I do know it is goign to be windy and wet as heck. Plan accordingly. Todd's idea of dry clothing is a great one.

Hmmm....in honor of Jeff, i think I'll be wearing a hockey jersey tomorrow. Let's see...which one do I wear? Gotta go through the closet.

I'll bring my A.J. Hawk jersey to wear during poker--I believe Walker suggested that. :)

Defensive Player of the Year Brian Urlacher's jersey will be coming along as well to keep an eye on you...... Rookie. :D

Total respect. If A.J. Hawk turns out to be even in the next zip code as Urlacher, I'll be extremely happy. Urlacher is a flat out stud.

Yep, 11:15 sharp, I'll be driving a dark blue minivan

Yes to the beer, food & Mrs. Floyd. You, on the other hand, may have to ride on the roof rack.

$10 each for poker. SWMBOs get a free ride if they go topless.Wear whatever jerseys you want, just no freakin' NY Yankees apparel

Edit: Floyd, there's supposed to be some TEAL in there somewhere.

**making a mental note NOT to change my clothes.. maybe wet tshirts will get a us a free ride.. **

looking forward to it...

boston, we are supposed to be at your house by 11 right?

A wet t-shirt contest was not on the itinerary, but I'm willing to bend it a little. Yes, be here by 11:00, we'll get Floyds at 11:15

Don't worry BB, SWMBO is a Sawx and Pats fan. She'll beat me if I laugh too much about their 3rd place finish.

Hey Jeff, would you be upset if another dude came over tomorrow night? A guy from my homebrew club is going to be down there (He's pretty cool) tomorrow helping out for some competition and he asked me what we were doing after....I said I'd let him know my plans (didn't want to invite him without checking with you first).
He has his own car and everything, and I guess the competition committee is putting him up in a hotel, so we don't have to house him or drive him anywhere.

Cool, or no? I totally understand if not.

I just want to remind everyone of the festival's Anti-Intoxication Program:

Of course your friend is welcome. The more the merrier. However, he can't show up empty handed....he must bring some homebrew or a reasonable facsimile. He can tabulate the beer sampling/critiquing notes for us. Does he play Texas Hold'em?

The weather sucks down here right now. Cold and rainy.

If your shirt was to get wet you may need to take it off just so you would not get a cold.
