WLP004 vs 1084

My LHBS doesn't carry Wyeast.I wanted to go with 1084 as it seems to be the go to yeast for an Irish red.(Smithwicks clone).I'm wondering if there the same?

I wouldnt give it a second thought. They are purported to be the same strain

On another thread someone said there's really nothing like 1084 so that was my concern
