Witbier wyeast 3944 starter smells funny

I've never used this strain of yeast, could someone tell me whether or not it is supposed to kind of smell like Apple cider vinegar / kind of fart-y?

I pitched a little warm and it's been going for about 9 hours on my stir plate. No krausen but plenty of growth, by volume.
