Anyone have any experience wiring the Auber SYL-1512A2 PID? Do I need to install jumpers? I'm STUCK!
I'm building Lonnie Mac's Brutus build.

Sawdustguy: THANK YOU. My ASCO Solenoids are 120VAC. My temp probes are Love TS-6 two wires. Here's the product page from Grainger.Thermistors are RTD's or Temperature Dependant Resistors. I would check with Auber to see if the Love thermistors will work with your Auber PID's. A Brutus 10 has a temperature controlled HLT and MLT so you will need to measure your HLT and MLT temperatures with the RTD's connected to the PID's and controll the solenoid valves connected to the relay outputs of the PID's and whatever voltage you use for your Solenoid Valve coils. I assume that your Solenoid coils are 120 VAC. I also need to know if you thernistors will work with the Auber PID and if it has 2 or 3 leads. If you get me this information I have AutoCAD so I can draw up and post an exact wiring diagram for you when I get home from work this afternoon if you wish.
Looking forward to your wiring schematic!
Ask, and ye shall receive....... If you have any questions just yell.
Thermistors are not RTD's. An RTD is a piece on Platinum (usually) that is 100 ohms at 32F. A thermocouple is just two pieces of dissimilar metal twisted together. This generates a microvolt signal. A thermistor is is resistor (ceramic?) whose resistance varies with temperature and is not 100 ohms at 32F. You cannot use a thermistor with this controller. You can use thermocouples and PT100 or Cu50 RTD's.
Guy: You are way too cool! Thank you very much!!Ask, and ye shall receive....... If you have any questions just yell.
Sorry, no can do! Goto www.auberins.com and get an RTD or T/C.So I can't use my Love Temp Probes (TS-5) on the Auber PID?
His drawing shows a jumper from 6 to 7 (if using a 2-wire RTD only).Guy: One more question....
My temp probes are only 2 wire, but (if I read your wiring diagram correctly) you have posts 6, 7 & 8 all wired. Do I run a jumper from post 6 to 7?
Sawdustguy, way to friggin step up my friend!!! This is excellent! Sorry I have been out for a while traveling with work... Everett was BEAUTIFUL this trip though!
Looks like I'm getting this RTDSorry, no can do! Goto www.auberins.com and get an RTD or T/C.
Will this one work? It appears to be a Type "J" Thermocoupler.
