I just racked my Winexpert Rieseling kit into my carboy for stage #2, but after I racked it, I realized that I ended up transferring quite a bit of the yeast cake along with it. With the first kit I did, there was a good solid yeast cake at the bottom, but with this 2nd kit I'm doing, there was very little that I noticed when I was racking, but did see a lot of yeast debris at the bottom of my carboy after racking.

Will this be a problem?

It should not affect your wine, however you may need to rack it one extra time or allow additional time for it to clear out before you rack or bottle it.

Suck up everything that will go through the tubing on a kits first racking. Theres no rotten fruit to wreck your wine in a kit, its just yeast and some grape solids.
