Just my humble opinion, spigots on fermenters just add a spot for possible infection to take place. Something else to clean that doesn't have to be there.

If it makes you happy then go for it.
 
I have a bottling bucket that I put a spigot on, and I will forever wish I never did as I never use it. Not for bottling or anything, I prefer to use the attachments I have for my racking canes.
