Will BCS 460 temp probe work with STC-1000?

I'm ordering an STC-1000+ and am wondering if I could use a BCS temperature probe with it. The friendly people at brewers hardware said it's a 10K ohm themistor, and thus should be ok.

P.S. looking to use this instead of the stock sensor so it'll fit into the triclover port on my soon to be arriving fermentor.
