I came here craving beer porn. . . I got some but I gotta tell you this whole cat thing is interesting. Several people have made a good point that it isn't the cat's fault and to not take it out on the cat. That is fair but the problem is clearly the owner doesn't give a hoot. I don't care what type of animal was under my house destroying my HVAC it would have to be conditions to stay out. . . and I gotta tell you all, I wouldn't be dumb enough to let it rip up my HVAC a second time.

Build looks great, every time i see things like this I a little piece of me dies of envy!

Haven't thought that far ahead yet. The garage is heated and cooled, so im going to put some vents in the back wall, so when im brewing the exhaust fan will pull fresh air through. Heating wise, my burners will heat it up nicely. I may put an in wall gas heater in there and maybe a wall air conditioner.

So many ideas, so little money.

Did you give your cold room anymore thought?

I built a cooler about 10X10. Used an old air conditioning outside unit as compressor and an old "A" coil inside the cooler room. Hung the "A" coil upside down and mounted an attic ventilation fan on top of it. I could get the room down to 27*F!! You have to "undercharge" the system to get cooler temperatures. But it works good. You need some kind of drip tray under the coil to catch the condensate.

The only thought i've given it is the size. I'm going to knock it down to 5' x10', or 4' x10, I have a habit of making rooms to big. This is one area i'm going to splurge in, i'm leaning in the direction of a coolbot to handle the cooling duties.

The chart assume you leave it until it reaches equilibrium. It is not a "leave it at this pressure and temp for X amount of time to achieve Y" type of chart.

Well, spring has sprung, and so has my interest free Lowe's card!
Overhangs are done, siding is 99% done, and i'm ready for cement. Hopefully it will be poured this Friday. I'm going with a 100amp electrical service, so electric brewing will be a future option.

I splurged on the black outlets and stainless covers. I think they just look like their made for a brewery. It's actually looking like this may be done by summer, I can't wait!

Sorry to be the one to tell you... when you mount the outlets upside down the electricity leaks out. Might want to fix that!

Tree houses are VERY dangerous. You should explain to your wife how a play house (adult scale so you can play too) would be much safer for your daughter.

Water yes, I won't be needing gas as i'm planning to go electric. But it is available. I think i'll put a nat gas wall heater in it for winter brewing.

Huh? Please explain.

A gfi electrical outlet is the outlets in your kitchen or bathroom. Or at least should be if they are up to code. With you have a sink in there and also producing a liquid. I would recommend a gfi outlet. If it shorts with contact of water it trips instead of shokcing you. They arent much more money and could save your life.

They can be QUITE expensive when talking about the size needed for an electric brewery, but yes, they can save a life. But there is so much discussion on this board already about them.

Im not sure of your power needs. But I saw your electrical plate and thats a 120v plate. your standard outlet. Another option is a gfi breaker you install it in your break panel and it covers everything at once source. Talk to your local home depot electrical employee and they can help you out and explain it with visuals

What's with all the electrical advice? My shed is being wired by a licensed electrician. Those pics are of my outlets, no need for gfi's.

Look im just tring to help. I too am a licensed electrician. And if you have water around an outlet you have to have a gfi. Dont believe me ask an inspector, google it, buy a book. And you will find that if it was up to code it will need it.

Yes I realize that. I have gfi's in my bathrooms, kitchen, outside outlets, and garage. I may have worded my post wrong. I meant if you don't post a pic of a gfi, the electrical police are all over you.

The LONG awaited day is here! Cement is coming at 2:00! Woot! This has been holding up the whole project for a while. Finding someone to to cement is no easy task around here. If it didn't have to be wheeled through my garage I would have done it myself. The project should pick up steam in the next week or two. It will have to wait as i'm off to St.Louis this weekend.

Are you going to have an moisture barrier/flashing between the concrete and your house? It will rot that OSB very quickly and potentially cause some sort of mold and/or structural problem in the future.
