Wild yeast source?

I am back home, just found this little wood pile in new england, with several distinct yeasts and several more fungi. I'm collecting slants, just wanted to document this..

Awesome!! I have heard that some saccharomyces yeasts come from wood or bark. This will be interesting to follow. It may be more appreciated in the Lambic and Wild brewing section however, there is also a sticky there on wild yeast capturing. I will be following this, my next try is going to be with rose bush stems.
