......and what's on tap. We are having one this weekend. I have a Festbier, Vienna lager, a light Vienna (SRM light, still toasty and malty), and a Marzen. I used some new recipes this year taking advantage of a couple local malt producers, Riverbend and Epiphany. Hopefully folks will enjoy them!! If not, my wife and I have a lot of lager to drink.

We just had one last weekend (the 7th)! It was a pot luck style which went over VERY well. I brewed a Kölsch, Marzen, Belgian Wit, Harvest Ale (Fresh Hop), Rye Porter, and a Cider! We killed about 4 kegs.

We held ours on September 16, the first day of Oktoberfest in Munich. I brewed up 10 gallons of Oktoberfest and 5 gallons of Dunkel. My wife made up a bunch of German dishes for the party.

Mine was on Sept 16th

I brewed a keg of:

Marzen
Festbier
Dunkel
Schwarzbier
Kolsch
Pale Ale
Pilsner
Pumpkin Ale
Apple Cinnamon Cider

Next weekend. I have an altbier and dunkelweizen ready to go, along with some non-traditional stuff like a Cascade Pale ale and a dark Belgian.

Menu will include a pork butt smoked not quite to fall-apart temp for a close-enough spanferkel, sausages, pretzels, potato pancakes and more stuff TBD.

I'm doing one in a few months time.

Kegs of...
Vienna lager
Schwarzbier
Koelsch
Helles
German pils
Hefeweizen

And also some 1.5g taster batches in bottles for the beer nerds...
Imperial pils
Roggenbier
Dunkelweizen
Munich dunkel
Bock
Doppelbock
Berliner weisse

I had one planned for the 7th, but we ended up cancelling, due to being too busy and too many of the guests having conflicts that weekend.

We would have had:
Pilsner
Festbier
Hefeweizen
Blood Orange Blonde Ale
Piggy Beer IPA (clone of RR Blind Pig)

My friends love craft beer so we do monthly beer parties where everyone brings a few bottles and we sample all of them. Last month's theme was Oktoberfest.

Good stuff. I have to re-sample all my beers tonight to make sure they are perfect for tomorrow's gatherimg. Another good reason to drink a homebrew.
