I for one, am. I haven't been able to drink for a week because of a little surgery I just had done (no alc, no asprin, bla bla). <Gross?> I had a little cyst type thing hacked out between the bridge of my nose and my right eye. The local anesthesia is wearing off and I have to offset that with my Chaos IPA and some Desert Rye.

It's starting to look like I took a left hook from Mike Tyson (80's version Mike). Tomorrow is going to look really ugly. I might have to post a pic.

Yep - your standard copper manifold. Cheese's is going in a round cooler, so that should be interesting.

My cooler as well and I still made a square but tried to maximize the 4 corners to almost hit the edges. Nothing fancy but a rectangle and hasn't affectefd efficiency at-all. 70's etc. Have fun.

I was thinking about getting fancy and using 45's, but they were kinda expensive and I thought it would be a big PITA for very little advantage - if any.

I'm still not drinking (much) after my bout with influenza. I'll have a beer or two tonight, my first in more than a week. My friends are out at a party for the young'uns 30th birthday complete with margaritas and a pinata but I'm not well enough yet. Have a few for me tonight!

Just got back from my favorite local watering hole and I'm half in the bag at the moment, thank you very much to the buy one get one free dogfish 90 min... Also tried a Saranac Imperial IPA, not usually a huge saranac fan anymore but this stuff was good, very hoppy and around 8.8 abv. Anyone else ever try this stuff? Now I've gotta set up some shelves and clean the kitchen so I can brew my first batch(popping my HB cherry) tomorrow. And I don't believe in cleaning while sober.........

Rhoobarb, Snakebone, Rdwj and I had a get together last night to build our manifolds and sample each other's goods. I made sure not to get too tipsy as I had a good 45 minute drive home (ended up being even longer because Rdwj's neighborhood isn't the easiest to get out of), but was in decent shape and slurped down a red bull to give me the wings I needed.

Got home to find that SWMBO had destroyed a bottle of Red Bicyclette French Rose wine. I opened a bottle of Twisted Zin, had less than half a glass, and then we decided to go to bed.

Okay, it's now today (this thread was started yesterday). I didn't get hammered yesterday, but I think I'm on my way today. It's only 4:30 here, but I think it's 5 o'clock somewhere.

Only problem is I'm almost out of homebrew. I also am almost out of my commercial brew. Hmmm. May have to switch to bourbon.

Yesterday was my birthday. I got sh*tty. I started out at a local watering hole in Boston with the work gang and had a Duvel and then both the red and blue label Chimays, some adult beverages at dinner, and then a pint or two of what is just about the last of my Chirstmas Katy imperial IPA (which I beleive did the real damage), sampled the first draft of my budiies young Blind Faith clone (needs a week on the gas still) and a handful of heineken lights.

Thought I'd take today off but I just found a store that carries Stone so I am having my first try of their IPA. Good stuff.

My teenage stepson (13 years old, 7th grade, testosterone level thru the roof, IQ low and falling...) is on the warpath this week. SWMBO took him to his basketball game tonight and won't be back until 7. I am on my 2nd Makers Mark manhattan. Somehow, I also need to put dinner for 5 people on the table by 7 p.m. This oughta be interesting.
