Hi,

For my Dead Ringer IPA recipe, everything was going fine till I was directed to add 1 oz of dry cascade hops a week prior to bottling.

The hops properly floated at the top, then after a couple of days - what looked like a white/grey mold started to spread out over the surface.

It's now a week, and this 'mold' covers the full surface. I'm sure I properly sanitized everything. The temperature in the room has been a constant 70 degrees.

Could it be anything else? Do I try priming and bottling -or am I doomed.
Any suggestions?

Thanks, Jeff

Are you sure it's not just a layer of broken up hop particles? Looks ok from the pic. Is it dry and fibrous like bread mold or still wet on the surface?

I see nothing.

When you add pellets, it adds tons of nucleation points, on the surface these tiny bubbles (they are very small) can group together and look like whitish blobs.

Sure they aren't bubbles?
