Ugh, I don't know how many people around here have access to a White Castle joint. But good lord, I have no idea after 28 years why I still eat them. Every time my stomach is gurgling and killing me within an hour, and I will be messed up until tomorrow.

Ur crazy that stuff will stick to your insides forever. Im not gonna lie though my friends and I used to indulge in a couple of crave cases when we got drunk, not anymore though.

Growing up in Utah and not traveling much (within this country, anyway) I have not had the opportunity (or misfortune) to eat at White Castle...

I would love to try it at least once.

I'm 43, and I still have to have me a sack o "belly bombs" and a side of "onion shrapnel" at least once a year, or maybe twice. Usually not more than that though...I think there needs to be at least 6 months between infections....to let my system heal.

:D

i have never had the joy of trying white castle. Although I have wanted to for some time now.

Well since I have no gallbladder anymore(probably because of WC) most anything upsets my stomach. However nothing comes close to the effect White Castles have. Even as gross as McDonald's is, it never makes me sick like this.

I know the feeling. I've had mine taken out as well. It really sucks. I cant eat a mcdonalds burger though beacuse they really make me feel like ****.

The problem I have with White Castle is that it is so easy to eat a $hit ton of food. I can easily get one burger down for every 1-2 bites I take. It's funny how your stomach doesn't know how full you really are until you take a quick break. I'll eat 5-6 of those with no problem and don't even feel full right away. Not even 30 minutes later you'll find me on the floor rolling around in pain cause I ended up eating another 5 burgers before finally feeling "full". Some of the worst things in life end up tasting the best to you. I have the same problem with Mr. Hero as well...

You know I never thought about the stomach to brain situation. That would explain why everyone I know goes way overboard with them. Luckily I never go over 5 anymore and I try to eat them slower. Obviously it doesn't seem to matter though, I still feel crappy. I even sometimes toss in some chickens to help balance it out! :drunk:

Aleforge, you've gotta quit giving bad advice. White Castle burgers are one of the most delicious things on the planet.

I never had much of a problem with them after ingestion. It was usually at 2AM in a stupor and before anything bad could occur I would be passed out on a couch. However, their effect on the digestive system the following day was always catastrophic.

Thankfully, this evil franchise has not made it's way to the West Coast. (Although, we do have Tommy's)

A couple years ago I saw them in the frozen section at Walgreens. Just for the hell of it, I took a box home and heated them up. The taste and aroma brought on a storm of late night memories.

One in particluar was when a guy who tried to pick a fight with everybody in line was getting arrested in the parking lot. It was about 10 below zero and he wasn't wearing a shirt. He tried to convince a St Louis County cop that he wasn't drunk.

Back in real time, I was trying to convince myself not to eat any more the re-heated belly bombers. I paid a high price for this nostalgia the next morning.

hmmmm.... all night LAN parties with my buddies, running down to Taco Bell and ordering up 100 crispy tacos (youngest BIL worked there at the time, so we got the employee discount)... now that I think about it, might need to schedule another party

NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSs!!!!!!

There's no White Castles around us, so when we were in Ohio, we made sure to stop by. Needed to try some sliders at least once in my life....

Holy ****, dude, Harold + Kumar ain't got **** on me. Those little burgers are incredible! It's probably just as well there isn't one anywhere within a three hour drive, or I'd be about four hundred pounds.

Whitey's are some of the best hangover food in the world !

Thank GOD I don't get that drunk very often anymore !!!

NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSs!!!!!!

Haha! LAN parties? That brings me back to my geekier days as a young fella. Used to LAN when I was like 12-14 years old and just loved getting all that free porn from everyone! CSS was the go to game back in the day; still jump on there every once in a while to pwn n00bs!

glad to hear that my friend weren't the only ones who did this, We would rent a large lecture hall at CMU and get 40 or more people going on lans. Food run's usually consisted of:
50+ Tacos
40+ arby's melts
35+ McDonald's double cheeseburgers
7-10 hot 'N ready pizzas

But back on topic,

I heart White Castle, and I also seem to be the only person in the world that is immune to certain "side effects"

Which STL location was that at out of curiosity? That's where I grew up!

We usually hit up the one on S. Lindbergh. This particular instance however, was somewhere in the city. It was after a Blues game (at the Arena!) and partying in Soulard.

Of course, this was a while ago and some of those memories tend to run together...

I had white castle yesterday for lunch and I felt great, which I think is the first time ever. Try getting them with jalapeno cheese. I call them "Ja-cheese-us, am I ever going the leave the bathroom?" gut bombs

White Castle is the only food I know of that smells the same going in as it does coming out. My farts smell like Whiteys!!!!!!!!!! :D

When I was younger, and DWI was a skill, The next day I would go out to to my car, do a walk around and empty the back seat which was always full of empty WC boxes and one of my friends. Ah Memories

Unless a very few exceptions, I never eat junk food, im totally anal about good healthy food equaling good health and it's opposite of course.

Or more simply put, garbage in, garbage out.
