Hey all,

I've got a friend who really enjoyed a Whitbread brown ale he had when he was in London (not sure exactly when this was, which one it was or if these are still made), and I really wanted to try and recreate it in a homebrew for him. I have the "original recipes" for both the Forest Brown Ale and the Double Brown Ale, but there are some discrepancies in what is stated on the recipes and what one can find available today (at least to my knowledge), also they are written up a bit differently than what I am used to, so if anyone can more or less tell me what some of the things mean (specifically the water part in how it is broken down, what size batch it will end up making etc) that would be amazing.

Also, if anyone knows of a clone recipe for either or both of these, I'd be fine going that route too.
