Put to gether my keg set up from the LHBS with the very poor directions provided and had orings left over. Figured out where all of them go except for one. I've gone through 2 CO2 so far in my quest for on tap beer.

I have no idea where this goes but I'm almost certain it is the cause of my gas leak. This is the best picture I can find of it. Where the heck does this go?

I have a simple picnic tap set up with a 5lb tank, not going bigger until I get this working correctly.

The picture doesn't show and webpage came back not found.
Judging from the description though sounds like the washer that goes between the co2 bottle and the regulator.

Edit******
Nevermind there was an extra http on the link. Reading the product reviews the said it is for sealing a swivel nut such as the regulator to bottle, or a gas line to a Distributor/manifold for hooking co2 up to multiple kegs from one bottle.

so it should go between the CO2 line and the gas in for the keg? There is no manifold at this point.

I found the bottle to reg oring ( that was my first CO2 tank ).

The set up is 5lb CO2 bottle to a single dial reg to a single keg to a picnic tap.

You may not even need that. I've never seen an o ring at the swivel nut. You just have to hook everything up and spray it all down with star san. It will bubble up where your leak is.

Should just be bottle to reg washer.
Co2 line from regulator to gas in connector on keg. I only have Teflon tape wrapping my threads on both the end of my gas line and the threads on the keg connector.
You should have O rings under each diptube on the liquid and gas side. An o-ring on each post gas in and liquid out. The o-ring on the lid. And I'm not sure if the pressure release valve in the lid gets one or not. If your lid has one. Not all do. Then picnic tap to gas out. Should be everything you need. Make sure you use keg lube( food grade petroleum jelly) on the orings to ensure they seal. Check the poppits in the gas in and liquid out post to ensure they are in good condition. Not worn and beat up. And you should be good to go.

Thanks for the help. I'll get more CO2 monday and spray the entire thing down with star stan. Then see what bubbles up.

That washer is used to seal a swivel nut like this: http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/1-4-barbed-swivel-nut.html. It is a flare fitting and Teflon tape should not be used on the threads.

why no teflon tape?

Since not knowing myself. According to wiki answers this is why.

wiki answers said:
"teflon tape (and pipe dope, for that matter) should never be used on flare fittings. They are designed to seal without tape or dope, and may actually leak if tape or dope is used."

Sorry, my bad. Guess I've just been lucky. Being as my swivel nuts didn't have washers with then didn't think they needed them.

The washers are needed for metal-to-metal flare fittings. The QD with flares have plastic tips, so they do not require a washer. If there's a MFL fitting on the regulator, or a Sankey coupler, or the shank, those need washers.
