I have a 19L mash tun and got invited to a brewout where were all going to be making a high Gravity (14%) stout. So if I don't happen to be able to get it all in, do I mash twice and blend them? I'd hate to only make 3 gallons. Options?

3-5 lbs DME and as much base malt as you can fit

Are you sure about that?
This is probably your best bet, or you're going to have like a 14 hour brew day with 2-3 mashes, lots of sparging and boiling down...

Not sure if this would work, or what you'd get, but I saw a beer being called "double brewed" and what they did was do a normal mash then mash again with the 1st mash runnings in fresh grain. I, of course, have no idea what your end gravity would be but it would be sort of cool to try it and see what happens. You'd still be doing a double mash brew day though and I'm not sure if this would be a good time to try out something new but it might be worth a shot!
