I'm thinking a little bit ahead here, which is weird for me.
I have 4 new hops from cuttings, all doing really well (took 9 cuttings and 4 survived) I'm planning on moving them to larger/prettier planters for next season, as they're currently in 5-gallon paint buckets.
obviously, i want to do this after they've died back for the season, but does it matter when? I feel like it would be better to do it in the fall, just so I don't forget at the beginning of the season next year, but I only hear about people planting rhizomes in the spring.
I will be transplanting the whole plant, not just a rhizome cutting, if it makes a difference.
