The caramel? I am up late east coast brewing because I work nights anyways and was curious when to add homemade caramel

I add at about the last 5-10 minutes of the boil. That way it has time to dissolve

Ok that's about what I did 10 min or so ... The wort didn't have much of a caramel taste and actually really sweet. I also added lactose so I'm hoping as it ferments the caramel comes through a little more
End of boil is a good strategy- you're not worried about losing any aromatic qualities, so some boil time to sanitize is a good idea.
