This year it will probably be an American Pale Ale. I'm going with that "compliments your food but doesn't taste like it" thing. Also SN Celebration is an awesome beer. I'm drinking one right now.

Last year I took some young cider to Thanksgiving. Didn't go over well (understandable).
This year, I've got some pumpkin ale, cider that's been cellared properly (Now that I know the right way to do it. Thanks B_K), hopefully a blonde if I get my ass in gear this year, several bottles of apfelwein and skeeter pee, some infused spirits, rice wine, and we might crack an old bottle of JAOM.
I think we'll be just fine :D

Saison is the perfect thanksgiving beer for me. Nice and light and dry but still flavorful. Pairs well with most traditional Thanksgiving foods and doesn't fill you up as much as some other styles of beer.

It's going to be my "Lumberjack Oaked Imperial Stout", but it's not coming out until the pumpkin pie makes an appearance.

Just got my first 6er of celebration last night. Bottled 10.8.14!
I think im going to brew a hoppy amber ale like nugget nectar. Doing a celebration ale is tempting though!

My Thanksgiving beer is a Chimay Grande Reserve clone (OG 1.091, FG 1.017) that I brewed on August 30. I was a little worried about it at bottling because even 1 ounce of the beer was completely undrinkable. The flavors were sharp and the alcohol taste was on the strong side. I tried a bottle last night and was pleasantly surprised. It actually reminded me of Chimay. I can't wait to see what 3 weeks in the refrigerator will do for it.

Predinner snacking: La Fin de L'annee, my attempt at Unibroue's La Fin du Monde
Dinner: Gunslinger Cranberry Graf. This year's batch may not be quite ready, but I have some leftover from last year.
Dessert: Loghouse Honey Porter. This year's batch has a lot of chocolate highlights and should be great with the pie.
Postdinner: Passout.

I've got a southern English brown and some spiced cider I'll be consuming.

My pumpkin ale is what I'll be drinking on Thanksgiving, it's what I had last year and it was awesome. Not looking forward to all the driving since both families live at least 100 miles away.

Bottling Mac 'N' Jacks African Amber tomorrow to take to Turkey Day festivities. Enough character for the craft beer fans, "drinkable" enough for the BMC crowd.

If I'm home this year, a 2013 Hardywood Gingerbread Stout, maybe a 2014 too!

My Thanksgiving beer is an Falconers Flight Pale Ale with the dinner. It goes great with all the spices and aromas that the dinner brings out. We typically will have a Roasted turkey stuffed with walnut cranberry stuffing, maple glazed sweet potatoes, spiced cranberry sauce, somebody will usually bring a green bean casserole and homemade bread which is usually followed by pumpkin pie and eggnog pie for dessert. And later that evening I will have an Imperial Pumpkin Ale to finish off the day.
