What's your favorite Micro brewery.

I’ve never been to one of their events but will probably stop by for the Peace, Love and Hoppy-ness thing… they’re giving away a custom Gibson, which you don’t have to be present for.

I’m not into the hoppy beers, more into malty, light, or even dark with low IBU’s. One negative is the cost of their growler refills; at $12 - $16 ($13 for the Dunkelweizen) it’s a little too expensive for 64 ounces of beer, imho.

Odell Brewing Co.

These three have my ever living loyalty.

Boulevard Brewing (Can take or leave their everyday beers, but their smokestack series has some great beers. Tank 7, Sixth Glass, Long Strange Trippel just awesome)
Upstream Brewing Co. (Mike Hall is doing some amazing stuff over there. Their Imperial Rye Brown is to die for.)
New Glarus (only had a couple of their beers, but man are they done well.)
Founders (again only had a couple offerings, but they were outstanding.)

Anchor, Sierra Nevada, Pike Brewing (Seattle) and Firestone Walker. I love the Velvet Merlin Stout in the winter.

Oh, to be a homer, I have to give props to Boundary Bay and Chuckanut Brewing.

For me Breckenridge brewery. Its the one company that I have yet to have a bad beers from. And their 471 IIPA is awesome.

Dechutes Brewery Bend Ore. Hands down my fav. Second would be Great Lakes Brewing Co Cleveland Ohio

Erie brewery in Erie, PA.... Not to be confused with lake Erie brewery.... This brewery is def worth a try! My fab is the railbender ale.... Let me know how you like it!

On my last trip over to the 'States' (of 6 weeks and 11 states) managed to drink/taste 300+ plus beers. My favourite Brewery for their range and quality was Great Divide, Co.

Surly brewing!!! Furious, Coffee Bender, Darkness. Need I say more. If you are ever in the Twin City area these are must haves....

I agree. Haven't tasted one of their brews that wasn't phenomenal. Really enjoying the Hell this summer.

Ghost River is pretty dang good. Not as great as others I've had, but a good fresh local micro. Goes well with some Memphis BBQ ribs!....mmm....BBQ! Definitely worth checking out when you come back, and they do free tours on sat and you get to do some samplin'

Red Lodge is my favorite brewery to visit. Nice folks, good beer, and a great view. They even let us bring in a homebrew and passed it around to share with folks. Once we did that, two others went out to their cars and brought in homebrews to share.

The Alpine Beer Company is my favorite super small brewery. The place is not much bigger than a standard garage but if you are a hop head they put out some seriously tasty beer.

Lagunitas would have to be my favorite kinda big brewery. I don't think I've met a beer in their catalogue that I haven't liked. Great beers all around.

I really like what Stone stands for since they do their own distribution and take other small breweries under their wing and help distribute those beers too but in all honesty Stones standard line up all seem to taste like a mouth full of dirty change. I don't know if it's some kind of standard hop bill that creates the taste or what but it's just odd. Some of their specialty stuff is pretty good though.

I just can't pick 2. Hill Farmstead and The Alchemist. Hill Farmstead can now be found in some select bars in Philly and NYC. If you ever get a chance to come to Vermont, you have to check these 2 places out.

For those not local or that don't know, Alchemist starting labor day weekend will start selling 4 pack tall boy cans of Heady Topper.
