I think you can throw a dart at Oregon and have a winner.

Pelican, Rogue, Deschutes are all consistently great.

Colorado has some great brewers too. San Diego's no slouch.

So many I've yet to try as I haven't bumped into them yet- Three Floyd's I'm especially anxious to try.

It seems to change often but my current favorite brewery is Lagunitas. I'm really feeling their beers. Three of them I really like are Little Sumpin Sumpin, Hop Stoopid, and Wilco Tango Foxtrot in that order. Absolutely delicious.

Other of my favorites are Flying Dog, Stone, and DFH.

Love lagunitas. Really love the Skunk Beer Train, which we plan to attend again this year.

Wow! I just read through all 19 pages and cannot believe I did not see my favorite micro on here...

The Bruery! in Orange County, CA.

Every beer I have had from them has been great. And you cant beat their winter seasonal, 'vertical tasting' series 12 Days of Christmas themed beers. I have all three to date: Partridge in a Pear Tree, Two Turtle Doves, and 3 French Hens. I can't wait until 2019 when I get 12 Drummers Drumming and pop ALL 12 bottles!! It is going to be a glorious day!

Also, Cigar City in Tampa is great. Funny thing is that The Bruery and Cigar City have a collab beer coming out right now. :ban: Pretty dope for me.

Stone Brewery has not let me down yet. Their IPA is probably my favorite as far as sessionable IPAs. I've also tried their RIS, Arrogant Bastard, PA, Ruination IPA. I still need to try their smoked porter. Oaked AB sounds awesome, too but I just can't justify the $16+ for a 4 pack.

I have a couple favorites in different areas, ones that I would go to as often as I could when in the area -

Mendocino Brewing Co in California
Dark Horse in Michigan
Saugatuck in Michigan

Still haven't found a hands down favorite in Illinois. I know there are some good ones but none of them just scream out to me to come back all the time

I don't mean to be a homer, but I am impressed with what the guys at Hill Farmstead of Greensboro Bend, VT are doing. They have an IPA that is fantastic. A little hard to find at pubs, but they are becoming more available.

Nationally, I'm a fan of Dogfish Head and Rogue. Will definitely make a list of the other suggestions here.

Southern Tier, hands down. Never had a better group of imperials ever, they're all amazing

+1 to Southern Tier. I'm a bit biased growing up near the brewery. I'll probably pick up a growler this weekend.

Rohrbach Brewing Company, Rochester, NY... I Love their Scotch ale (have a growler in the fridge ready to be opened tonight when I get home from work) and their blueberry ale is pretty good on a hot summer day :) Never been to their brewery/brewpub but have had their beer fresh in growlers and a fresh keg.

I also like Wagner Valley micro-brew, which is located on the premises of Wagner Valley Winery. They have a GREAT Doppelbock - Sled Dog its called :)

Not my favorite, but i have to throw Saranac in the mix. They make some good beer and a few really good beers and they have the largest variety of beers of any brewery i've ever seen, something for everybody. Good session beers

Anything Michigan:
Founders
Shorts
Right Brain
Bells
New Holland
Jolly Pumpkin

Outside of Michigan:
St Arnolds
Stone
Russian River

Yeah, I know I didn't quite follow the topic of the thread, but its like when your kids asks you who you love more...

I like my locals, Kelso, Captain Lawrence, Sixpoint, Brooklyn and Ommegang.

Without a doubt, Victory is my favorite, with Nodding Head and Monks coming in a close second and third. My all time favorite beer, however, comes from Boxcar Brewing in West Chester, Pa. Not a brewpub, but a small brewery gaining a lot of local attention and on tap in increasingly numerous bars.

Born and raised in Vegas, so I have to give a shout out to Big Dogs Draft House! They brew some amazing West Coast IPA's, a great red, pale, and stout. Their seasonals are usually way better though. Their Alpha Dog is a 9% "double red" that is so well balanced with bready malts and slightly high hops. The War Dog is their double IPA that is just a killer West Coast style IPA with great citrus and pine notes.

They'll be hosting Peace Love and Hoppy-ness on April 20th where they'll bring in some California brews (Pizza Port, Stone, etc). Can't wait!

Berkshire Brewing Co, Long Trail, and Wormtown Brewing are my faves but Berkshire is my topper.

I “don’t” second Big Dogs Draft House. I love their Dunkelweizen (Little malty, some coffee and good chocolate… I’m trying to clone it now) but, strangely, no-one else I know likes it!?! I really liked their Tailwagger Wheat (hefe) until I tasted the dunkel (note: taste seems to change weekly…just slightly, as a wheat will) Also, let’s let the tourist know that the food there is horrible, service is really really bad, and the place smells like hamsters (I haven’t sniffed one of those since last time I went!)… they defiantly don’t want to go there so better to leave it for locals only.

Btw, you ever try their brew school?
mmm..Dunkel!!!! I drank two growlers during super bowl and had gas for 3 days after! MMMM…Dunkel!!!! Draft House Rocks!!! (but not for you tourists…rem, smells like hamsters)

Okay, food is really really good, it doesn’t smell like hamsters (I have no idea what they smell like) and service is hit-or-miss (if Emily is working, sit in her section) and it’s a loving place so yes, tourists are welcome.

I gotta say Dillon Dam Brewery in Dillon, CO, but only because they are going to start selling me grains and hops at their cost. ;) (I don't have any LHBS)

I am amazed by all the Breckenridge love in this thread. Their small batches are very good (471 IPA, Pandora's Bock, ESB), but they often only have 1 small batch available in Breck. I don't know about Denver; probably more. I eat there a few times per month, and I'm often unimpressed by the beer. Vanilla Porter? Disgusting. WAY too much nilla.

I would say my favorite is Great Lakes Brewing company, since Edmund Fitzgerald is the best robust porter ever made by mortal men. However, now that I live in CO, I AM living without them.

If I could never have a different BC's beer, it's gotta be Avery. The Maharaja, Dugana, Mephistopheles, The Beast, Brabont, etc etc etc

Some more than worthy runners up:

Boulevard - only had a few, but they were all great
Russian River - plenty to love there
Deschutes - Black Butte (2nd favorite robust porter)
Great Divide - Yetti Espresso Imperial Stout WOW!
Oskar Blues - Ol Chub yay!!

Not so micro:
Stone - tons
Rogue - Had the Double Bastard. whoahoho that's some good chit
Dogfishhead - I rarely get them, but the Palo Santo Maron is amazing, all are very good, and I usually have a few of theirs in my cellar

Edit: Had to remove Goose Island - I can't live without the occasional Bourbon County Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout, but that's the only one I've been able to get.

I know these are trendy picks, but one trip to either's brewpub/tap room for their draught only selections and you'll be sold for life: Sierra Nevada and/or Deschutes. Plus, Ken @ Sierra Nevada can do no wrong in my book. He, Koch, and Maytag are like the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost of craft beers.

Favorite if I could only pick one though would easily be SN Stout.

If I'm being a Texas homer, I say Southern Star in Conroe, TX.

Lol, you had me going there for a minute! Yeah, the dunkel is quite nice. If you can clone it, let me know! I missed the last brew school, but I want to do the next one. This year's Peace Love and Hoppy-ness isn't as good as last years, and I've had all of those beers so I might not be able to get there (tomorrow). My favorite Big Dogs brew is the 9% ABV Double Red Alpha Dog... man, I love that stuff too much! The War Dog might be one of the best IIPA's out there.
