Standard pale ale with some hops I have yet to choose from my collection.Thinking williamet or nuget. Or maybe both! any suggestions?

The Nugget is a bit earthy, but you could certainly use both. Now that I have my car back,I gotta get to the LHBS. Got my wife's Summer Shandy in primary two weeks come Monday.

I like earthy. Was going to do one hop IPA's with each variety I had but I'm starting to think pale ales with each variety would be better. idk though.

What recipe do you use?

We love the leine's and I would have to make at least a 5gal batch a month for the summer.

The brings up a good question, do you actually plan ahead or do you find yourself saying "crap, I HAVE to brew this or we won't have any!?". I'm new so I fall into the latter.

I'm working nights this weekend so I'm "brewing" Apfelwine...quick and easy :) Next weekend is kegging weekend, I'll brew a Maibock this coming week when I'm off.

brewing a pale ale, first time steeping grains, got 1 lb. of crystal 20L 3 lbs of extra light DME, 3 lbs of pilsen DME, liberty and czech saaz hops

I bottled up my Vanilla Milk Stout with extract. It tasted "interesting" but I'm hoping a month at 70 carbonating will mellow it out a bit.

My Bohemian light ale has been in the carboy a week and airlock activity is done. This batch has been troubled. It's the first batch I tried with liquid yeast (Wyeast 1272) and a starter. It's the first batch I've had that blew out the airlock, so I needed a blow-off tube. Also it's a "top-cropping" yeast so it just sits around on top of the beer. I'm worried I'll have trouble racking the beer without getting all the yeast with it. Also I'd been thinking of trying to wash the yeast for future use, but it'll be weird with the yeast on top.

Also I picked up supplies for the Irish-ish Red Ale I'm brewing next weekend. Another liquid yeast back (London III) so I'll probably go with the tube right away.

No brewing for me this weekend (or this coming week), sadly. I'm on call for work so I've gotta be able to leave the house in about 15 minutes notice. That kinda messes up brewing plans...

Next weekend, however, I'll be transferring an ESB to secondary and brewing a Belgian Blonde and maybe an Imperial Stout. Can't wait.

I believe Sunday I will be brewing a 6 gallon batch of EdWorts Apfelwein.

I would like to add a tad of sweetness with a non fermentable sweetener, just not exactly sure how much per gallon to add.

Anybody?

Killer, you are ambitious.

MkkeWi, have you considered cold crashing? I think it might help.

I hope to brew a test batch with my new grain mill. Following the uncertainty in this batch, I am going to use 'hop dust' from AHS. Good or bad it will be a truly limited edition.

Hope everyone's brew comes out tasty.
