I got this stuff from Caballas a couple of months ago on sale. 30 sealed Mylar bags of Beer Machine Pilsner DME mix. Good thru 2013 dated. Each bag is about 2.2 lbs. Seems to be hopped pretty strong for my tastes. I couldn't resist it for about $1.50 per pound. I'm a newby so how do you suggest I use it. I am just transitioning from all extract, using added grains, and want to BIAB. Just got to get a bigger pot. I already have about 70lbs of different grains and like low hop beers (so far:D).
Do I use it for a base, or add a bag early in a boil for ABV and bittering.

Thanks for any ideas.
I'm not afraid to fail, just got to brew!

I'd try to find a conversion for International Bittering Units.

Do a 5 gallon test batch with half two-row and half hopped DME? Se if that tones it down enough?
