I brewed a holiday spiced ale last month, and an oatmeal stout to be brewed this weekend. I've done a batch a month since June.

But I'm at a loss as to what to brew in December. A lot of "winter" ales I'm researching are a lot like my holiday ale. I need to do something different - somewhat wintery - it will probably ready to drink around Feb 1st, so I don't think I'm ready for a summer brew. I'd also like to pick up the abv a little.

I like everything but porters - anyone have any ideas?

I made a samichlaus clone in December, ready about 2 years or so later, but it was a good batch. How about a big brew?

Thanks! - some great ideas here. A Belgian Dubbel, samichlaus clone, speckled hen,... and a calendar to tell me what's apropo to brew every month. Now I'm ready
