What stopper to use to a bottling bucket dip tube?

I'd like to make a dip tube as suggested in Revvy's thread. But I can't seem to find the kind of stopper to use. I'd like to add it to my next Nothern Brewer order.

Also, will a piece of racking tubing work as the tube itself, or do I really need to go the copper or racking cane route?

Go to Home Depot or Lowe's and pick up a 3/4" PVC Street Elbow. It'll thread right on to the end of the threaded spigot and reach almost perfectly to the bottom of the bucket. Easier, cheaper & it looks nicer IMHO.

Ummm, PVC is food-grade plastic. Plenty (including me) use it for water lines in our homes, so it's perfectly safe for cold/room-temp wort contact. Just don't try to run hot water through it, you'll need CPVC for that.

Ah, thanks! I'll be stopping by Home Depot tonight. I didn't like the idea of melting a piece of the racking cane over my stove anyway.
