Hey all,

What surfaces shouldn't you use PBW on?

What is your cleaning routine after you brew? Do you all clean your equipment with PBW after your brew then just sanitize right before the next brew?

Is making a batch of PBW in the sink or bucket the way to go?

Thanks for all the help!

I use PBW on pretty much everything. I prepare it in my kettle, because I find it works better when you get it good and hot. Then the kettle cleans out real easily with just a sponge and minimal (if any) scrubbing.

Mostly I do my cleaning as the day goes along. The kettle and hoses obviously get cleaned at the end of the day. I don't bother to sanitize at the end of the day, because I'm going to have to do it on the next brew day anyway. I have, however, been known to store my unused kegs full with a no-rinse sanitizer (iodophor).

Thanks for all the info! Dish soap ok for the aluminum brew pot?

I mix all my cleaning/sanitizing chemicals in 5 gallon buckets ... store them with a lid on. No sense on mixing up five gallons each batch, then throwing it out.
