She & Him, Volume One. Saw part of Elf on TV last night and it popped into my head that I'd never downloaded that album. I like M. Ward, and Zooey Deschanel's singing voice is awesome.

Great album. I smoked pot with that band at Milwaukee Metal Fest in the room I was in at the Ambassador hotel. Knowing Macabre... and the Ambasador should mean something specific to that album. Very intellectual guys IMHO.

I miss my days in metal radio.

H.I.M. - And Love Said No

This band is my guilty obsession. I am pretty much an elitist metal head who also indulges in some other genres... but nu-metal/goth rock is not usually one of them. However, I love this band. My wife surprised me with tickets and back-stage passes last year on my birthday when they played Seattle. Awesome band... and I should mention they love to party.
