What is this and why do all of my sours have it?

Hopefully you can see the murky stuff in the beer. Anyone know what this is?

I've brewed 4 sours and they all have this stuff in it. I'd prefer it not be in there, but I guess I should figure out what it is first?

Any help? I need to go reference my notes, but I believe this had almanac dregs in it.

Hard to tell from the video but it looks like yeast in suspension. Are you pouring carefully from the bottle and not disturbing the dregs in the bottom of the bottle?

If so, I've never seen yeast like that before. Although, it's wild, so who knows.

IIRC, I did pour slowly. I'll put another bottle in the fridge tonight after work and have it sometime this weekend.

I'll keep you posted. Thank you.

Is it viscous?

Yes!!

I put a 12oz bottle in the fridge a couple of days ago. I had it last night.

I carefully poured approx 6 to 8 oz in a shaker glass (all my tulips are at my parents), leaving behind all the cloudy stuff. The sour tasted good, very tart, leaving a nice dry finish. I noticed I kicked up some of the cloudy matter when I put it back on the counter, so I put the bottle in the fridge for half an hour or so to hopefully get some of it to settle out.

I then grab a taster glass and carefully pour a couple of onces into it. I notice I got some of the cloudy material in the taster.

I try the two side by side. I notice the taster glass has a heavier mouthfeel and it is somewhat 'twangy' compared to the clear, clean sour.

It reminds me of my first two sours I bottled in late 2015. It had the same cloudy material in it and drinking it was unbearable. It was almost syrupy; they got dumped. The taster glass sour I had last night slightly reminded me of the first two batches of sour I made.

Hopefully that helps me pinpoint my issue here.

Ropiness?
If so, you can wait it out. You could possibly agitate it to help.

Having a hard time seeing what it is, but sounds like its "sick". Pedio does this. Slide 9 of this presentation by Vinnie lays out what the ropiness is. http://www.slideshare.net/bschmaltz/r-rsour-beerpresentation

I read the milk the funk wiki on pedio (http://www.milkthefunk.com/wiki/Pediococcus) and i would be willing to bet its ropey/'sick'. Although when i bottled the beer, i made sure it was done (3 months at terminal gravity) and the sample i pulled was very clear. Although i did read this on the milk the funk page:

This would explain why beer containing Pediococcus often goes ropy shortly after naturally carbonating in the bottle.

It appears i should wait this out (i bottled this batch of sour on 12/3 and its already carb'd).

My first two batches of sours that i brewed in 2015 got dumped because the beer was crazy viscous.

thanks everyone for the help!
