I just finished bottling my second all grain brew.

This beer consisted of the following:
-10kg of plain untoasted malted barley
-2kg of roasted malted barley
-2kg of rice malt syrup
-100g of centennial adding during the boil, staged at 60min/20/10/5
-100g of centennial dry hopped 4 days prior to bottling

Safale US-05

The beer itself is of a beautiful amber colour and has a mild bitterness with a hoppy flavour.

It came in at around 5.8% ABV (50litres in total)

This was a bit of throw together and would just like to know what sort of category this beer would be put under, I'm still finding my feet within the brewing world and any information would be greatly appreciated.

At the end of the day it doesnt matter what style of beer it is as I'm quite sure it should be a decent tasting beer, going by the hydrometer tastings.

Cheers :tank:,

Matt

I've made beers that way and then plugged the grains and amount into software and start trying different categories until it fits.

Without knowing what color roasted barley you used it would be hard to even guess with any accuracy.. That said, maybe you could just call it a hoppy amber ale?
