Al Pastor. Our Latino market sells the pork already marinated pretty cheap so i thought i would try this oven version.

3lbs of meat in a bread pan. Slow cook at 250-275F for 3-4 hours. When its done take it out too cool. When its cool put it back in the fridge. The next day it can be pulled out to crisp it up. Flip the loaf out of the pan on to a carving tray reserving any juice you want. Just slice off however much you want from the loaf. Im going to crisp mine up in the air fryer tomorrow.

This isn’t sweet and I’ll want to sweeten it just a little more, add chocolate chips and possibly nuts The next time I bake it. The texture is almost cake like, but there’s no butter or oil in the recipe. It is a very sticky dough, so I used a loaf pan. Here’s the site Chocolate Sourdough Bread {Luxurious + Hearty Loaf} - crave the good I used this recipe because it included a cold rest. One other detail… I used AP flour that may have softened the texture a small bit.

That chocolate sour dough does look yummy. Would it be good with cream cheese spread on it? How do you usually eat it?

We had friends over for dinner last night. Apps were grilled linguica sprinkled with fresh lime; cheese and crackers; copious amounts of wine and homebrew. Dinner was grilled tri-tip, twice baked potatoes, fresh carrots with butter and dill; and sliced tomatoes with mozzarella and fresh basil with a balsamic glaze. Friends brought a banana cream pie for dessert.
