Heard the 21 seasoning salute is pretty awesome too. They also carry and Everything Bagel spice mix. Good for everything like eggs, chicken, sour cream dip, etc.

I like that stuff a lot. Got some as a gift and wasn't sure where it was from as I want some more.
(I'm sure it says Trader Joe's if I actually looked closely at the label.

Had a ham bone in the freezer. Rainy day why not split pea and ham soup. Then I saw the bag of great northern beans.
Sweet corn is finally ready here in SE Wisconsin so I made shrimp boil in foil the other day - pound of shrimp, pound of andouille, pound and some change of sliced potatoes and four ears of corn, each cut into four pieces. Divide all evenly across four sheets of heavy duty foil, add a splash of olive oil and a good shake of Old Bay to each pile, wrap em up and throw them on the grill for 20 minutes.
Going to head over to the farmers market to get some
more sweet corn this afternoon because it’s one of my favorite things about summer.

@paulthenurse that bisque looks heavenly. I need to up my lobster game. We are so far from the ocean though. If i ever get that way i hope you will dive with me and show me how to get em.
@Temptd2 i love mine and am so glad to see another one. When you make those pork chops there was room on the side for those potatoes and stuff. We have come to use it almost daily for our potato sides. I'm so lazy I just throw those little fingerling and purple potatoes in there with olive oil and salt. But as you've come to see, it's Sears meat very well. I can't wait to see what clever stuff you come up with.

Those taters were from a 17 oz. bag of frozen roasted taters/onions/peppers from Trader Joe's so they wouldn't all fit in there at the same time as the chops, LOL! No worries though, I just put the chops on a plate and covered with foil til the taters were done. Since they were already cooked, they just took 10 minutes to defrost/brown in there.
So far I'm impressed with it. The chicken turned out really well - crispy outside and moist inside. Not EXACTLY like oil-fried chicken but good in its own right! I used Carbquik baking mix to bread, as we're back on the low-carb bandwagon.
Next up BoBo salmon and roasted Brussels sprouts and sweet taters!
Glad there is another user of this fine gadget - we can compare notes!

you bet, look forward to comparing notes. Salmon sounds awesome in it. Although will it smell like fish later? Here's some notes i have already.
I have found that it reheats anything really well, like day old potatoes. It really livens up commercially made things like Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage biscuits. I spread out the different parts and it really makes them well. My wife uses it to give the kids different kinds of breakfast sausages in general as well as brats and hotdogs. We normally cook everything at the same time and just try to keep the meat on top and rotating to sear. I like the toast it makes and I'm sure it could make tortilla chips and kettle chips. Sadly I've been known to snack on nachos at the drop of a hat. I like to use it to ground beef for tacos but it has been a learning curve doing that. It will make an excellent meatloaf. I like doing vegetables with it and it is certainly worth traveling with. I like the fact that it doesn't leave too much of a mess. So we just got back from our trip and I have a bunch of smoked turkey and pork loin which we're going to try to live off till we get paid. We will reheat the smoked turkey and cook the fries in it.

More breakfast burritos. This time I made the New Mexico red chile sauce. Here are some rough notes from how I made it with powdered chili from the Mexican food section at the store. I have used dried Chiles as well and I think they're better but it's hard not to love this sauce. It made the breakfast burritos so amazing. I wonder if I like red chili better than green chili. I know that more things can probably be at it but I really like to keep my cooking with chilies simple and let the chilies shine. I've seen recipes that call for up to a half cup of chili in 2 cups of water. I think 4 tablespoons is a good amount to start with.

Yeast wasn't ready for brewing so tried a new recipe. Ginger spiced chicken. Served on left over jasmine rice.

Back on the griddle. This time took chicken and cut it in half with the mercer. Too lazy to pound it out and also didn't want to clean up the mess. Put it in a bag and marinated it with Trader Joe's soyaki. That stuff is pretty good. I put it in a bag and twisted it until there was no air left. I don't know if this is a good idea or not but it seemed like it. At the end of it cooking I basted it with more sauce. Sweet potato fries in the airfryer. I'm not sure I like the sweet potato fries. Hb citra lager warm fermented of course.

Now I see why my wife likes wraps. I thought I would throw something together for her when she came back for lunch. It turns out they're pretty tasty. I used leftover strips of the soy Yaki chicken. String cheese that was cut in half then half again, eah quarter added. Spring mix salad and a dressing of homemade jalopeno hot sauce, and mayo.
Must.stop.opening.this.thread!! Having a colonoscopy done tomorrow and I'm currently on a clear liquid diet, and nothing tomorrow prior to the procedure. Everything in here is looking so damned good right about now.

My doctor says I'm over weight. As long as I stay below 208 I disagree with him.
Just read an agreeable article recently that says you will have better health if you are in your 70s with a little fat on the bones.
Yes, that is my sausage arm in my avatar pic... Brewing is my gym.
Tonight's air fryer fun - salmon (a little overcooked,. next time less time), Brussels sprouts, sweet potato cubes.
Currently I am at my goal weight, which is actually about 10 pounds above where I prefer to be - back on Atkins though and down 3 pounds this week so far.

This looks amazing. Is it just cooked bacon, onions and such with hominy? Bake some eggs on top? Maybe some cheese?

Cooked bacon, onion, jalapeno pepper, canned kernel corn with diced sweet peppers, and red pepper flakes. Black pepper, white pepper, and a six pepper blend on top just before stove top cooking. You can add anything you like in any proportion.
A couple of tablespoons of bacon fat is left in the pan to coat the hominy.

Trusting all goes good and you enjoy having a good meal after all that jello and juice prep.
