There has been a can of Busch in my fridge for like 2 years someone brought it over here and its kind of a running gag. Any time I've got friends over we dare one another to drink the damn thing. So far none of us will do it.

I am determined to drink beer from within a 3 hour drive of my home... Just 3 years ago that would have been a difficult task. My latest find... Parkway Brewing - Raven's Roost Baltic porter. This stuff is delicious!

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Home Brew mobile app

Is it counter-productive to store a lot of beer in the fridge?

Won't most beers (especially IPAs) lose flavor in 2-3 weeks?

Shiner Bock, Bitburger Pils, Grolsh and Assorted Sam Adams from a sampler pack I bought :"Hopology" 4ea of 6 beers. I liked 5 of them, so not bad. Was a great eye opener for me, of how different "heavy hop" beers can be...

Nope- refrigeration is the best way to keep things fresh. Even Stone's Enjoy By are "good" for over a month, and I use quotations around "good" because the standards of freshness for that beer are over the top- WIth good refrigeration, a hoppy beer should last a few months with little noticible degradation of hop aroma and flavor, and a less hoppy style should last that long or longer.

Nothing. I bought a couple of sixes in the winter of 2013 when I didn't brew enough to keep my pipeline going. This winter I did extracts inside to keep my supply going.

Stone Enjoy By, a random hoppy Dogfish Head I'd not had before, various beers from Ithaca Box of Belgians, some of everything from Sierra Nevada's 4-Way IPA box, some Bell's Porter...

and a Saranac Blueberry Blond that someone brought over more than a year ago. That one should probably just be tossed at this point.

Stone- Go To IPA
New Belgium- California Route
21st Amendment- Bitter American
Deschutes- Mirror Pond Pale
Sockeye- IPA
