I got a used Wilser that came with some other equipment I bought and it works great. Other than the expected patina it has it's holding up great.

I also picked up "The Brew Bag" so I could have a back up and so I can use it to strain the wort as it goes into the bucket. The Brew Bag guys are located close to home so as a business owner I like to support local business. It's built pretty tough but I only have 3 brews thru it so far.

Both work great and I'd recommend either one.

Brew Bag from bagbrewer.com. I've been using it for 5 years, over 100 brews (including 15 gallon brews) in my 20g Concord triclad pot. No complaints whatsoever. It's been great, though I am considering moving to a SS mesh basket at some point to increase flow during mashing.

My Wilser bags came in the mail yesterday. Fantastic quality. Thanks for the two hop bags included. 5 batches with paint strainer bags and I stepped up. These bags are top notch! Can’t wait to brew.

Another vote for @wilserbrewer. Top notch quality and it has lasted me so far for a few years. Only mistake I ever made with it was not cleaning it out immediately and finding a lovely surprise waiting for me after a week...

Are you me? That's been exactly my experience! Tried to save the bag by washing it with bleach, but in the end I decided it wasn't worth the chance that I'd introduce something nasty into my next batch so I just ordered a new one. Barring any further brain farts on my part, it should last me quite a while.

Wilser bag testimonial - About 18 months ago I bought a wilser bag to fit my 4 gallon kettle. Already owned a WB for my 15 gallon kettle, (love it), but wanted to someday do 1 or 2 gallon batches. Never opened the bag until a few weeks ago - the morning I planned to brew a couple one gallon batches. Found out the bag didn't fit the kettle. Ended up using my big bag in the smaller kettle to save the brew day. Last Saturday I emailed Mike to tell him what happened, not expecting him to do anything about it since my fault that it had sat in my house for 18 months unopened. He replied right away and asked that I send back the original bag. I got it in the mail that day, and today when I got home from work today a new bag was waiting for me in the mailbox. Of course I opened it right away and verified it fits the 4 gallon kettle, (it does). Perfect timing since I'm planning on brewing a one gallon batch of Milk Stout tomorrow.

Remarkable customer service!! His bags are well built and at a really good price. That's why I'm recommending anyone looking to get into BIAB, or anyone who like me just wants another sized bag, look to Wilser Bags first. His product and customer service can't be beat!!

Thanks again Mike!!

I use a pillowcase, (specifically for that only) low tech but I only do less than 1 gallon brews anyway. I don't drink much beer.

Thanks for posting this. I’m new to brewing and just did my first AG BIAB this weekend. I strung a carabiner and some paracord to an eyebolt i put in my garage door’s crossbeam which worked great, but I was worried about the bag integrity. Will have to look into brew bag and Wilser.

Just ordered my Wilserbag and pulley set up, and a new 15 gallon brew kettle.
I've been doing the 3 tier AG thing for a long time, in a 10 gallon aluminum kettle; the last one just burned me out.
It takes damn near a full day, and 1/3 of that, or more, is clean up (before and after)...not to mention sparging. All that gear man...I'm just tired of messing with it all.
I have to spread it all out in my home office, to dry out, and I have a huge storage shelf for all of it in my garage.
I should have done this years ago; could have saved money, time, effort, and space.
Not sure what I'm going to do w/ the mash and lauter tuns...and all those hoses etc. Probably not worth the effort to try and sell.
Anyway...I'm kinda giddy about my next brew.

Edit:
I'm just gearing down in general. I've been dry hopping in my Primary. I plan to get rid of my 2 glass carboys as well.

You're going to love your new rig. It'll make great beer, and your brew days will be enjoyable again.

A no sparge no squeeze BIAB day is a joy. When you get it dialed in you'll be looking at 3-4hrs for a complete brew day (includes all prep and all cleanup).

That'll be nice...as apposed to the 6+ hours I'm doing now.

Yeah, I've used a Brew Bag since I went to BIAB last summer, and I love it. I've packed it pretty full of grain and it does great, and I've used it over my siphon as a filter when racking pumpkin cider and raspberry beer. It works well in both applications, and it is EASY to clean.

rather than what brand....what mesh size are you using? micron rating? I would think that's the important spec. too tight will not drain effectively/efficiently...too open and all the crap gets through...

Swiss voile is the material for good quality bags (from various makers). It's very fine. Paint strainers, etc, are much coarser and not recommended.

I used a Brew Bag today and it worked great. Love the reinforcement straps for hoisting the bag out. Seems well built and a fine enough mesh to block the crud. Cleans up super quick too.

Voile is the fabric you want...
The openings are approx 200 micron if you want to be technical ...

Paint strainers and typical “home brew store” bags are roughly 3-4 times that.

If you can see the openings in the fabric w/ the naked eye, it is too coarse imo.

Cheap white voile curtain. 22 batch and work OK.
I bought a bag over ebay for a 50L pot, but it does not fit my 35L plastic kettle so I had to stay on the curtain.
