Hit my local for my birthday this evening. Had a couple there but came home with much more. It’s hard to drink too much when their food is so excellent.

A so-called English Premium Bitter. Meh, not a terrible beer but definitely not very English.

Now this is much better, WCIPA after moving inside at the behest of the 3 year old tiny tyrant.

Yesterday, after tailgating and football, we picked up a few groceries on the way home. Found this Märzen from Left Hand and bought a sixer to compare with the one I have on tap. I got the style pretty close, if this is a representative example. I still don’t have a lot of faith in the sensitivity of my post-Covid palate, but I, my wife, and my grandson couldn’t pick out any significant differences in taste between the two.

Football with the family, but not their team’s best day. I’d still rather be here than at work. Having a couple from Beachwood in Huntington Beach. The Citraholic was ok, too much Honey Malt. The Amalgamator is good.

I don’t know if Johnny’s Off License is still open in Rome, but the beer selection was amazing. The only time I have ever found Panil. Brilliant.
