A little after dinner drink. Great aroma and taste.
Special release that I got at the brewery. I only have a couple of these left.
Mix that 50/50 with some scotch and you have a rusty nail. One I used to drink more in my younger days.

- 1 1/2 ounces scotch
- 3/4 ounce Drambuie

Who drinks Old Fashions? One of my favorite mixed drinks.
I had a revelation tonight. You can make a great Old Fashioned using Jagermeister instead of Angostura bitters. I went 2 oz bourbon and 1/2 oz Jager. The flavor is very very similar. #wisdom#

That is some good stuff, one of my favorites.
HB vanilla porter. No tiger sighting this morning for a beer.
Recently made a Kolsch and during transfer to corney keg I seen this bug. I don't know how it got in primary bucket as it was closed lid.
It wasn't floating but half way down clinging to bucket which gave me concern it got in during the finished wort transfer from the boil.
I hoped it got boiled up and just kegged it anyway. It's my first Kolsch so can't relate the taste to another of mine.
It tastes ok though like other Kolsch I've had. No hint of infection. But I'll not reuse this yeast.
I don't know what kind of bug it is. Maybe a young japanese beetle, stinkbug, or ?
If it was a roach, I'd toss it. Too gross for me and I'm not from Texas.

Server brings menus, I look at the beer list. It says “draught beer-Bud Light and Blue Moon”. I told the server “you don’t have any beer on tap”. He says, “Oh we have Street Fight”. I should have guessed. It’s the unofficial, official beer of Billings. Available almost everywhere adult beverages are served. It’s a really good Irish Red, brewed by a small, local, brewery called Angry Hank’s. Good stuff.

Flight from BeachFly Brewery in Rockledge, FL. Clockwise from lower left (H): FES, kolsch, tropical wheat ale, Belgian blond, red ale. All tasty. The wheat ale was kinda light on the "tropical" but not bad.
Another BeachFly flight. Clockwise from lower left: mango and blood orange sour, French saison, hazy pale ale, blueberry porter, double hazy IPA. I like them all. Not much blueberry in the porter. Hazy IPA has very little to no bitterness so it is the best I've ever had!
Brown ale with Guatemalan coffee beans. This is very tasty!

Meh, beers ok. Round 2 of salsa and possibly the last for the year, garden is slimming down. This batch will have a bit more kick to it.
