Last night I got to go to my first Tiki Bar and had a couple awesome drinks. A Zombie and a Pistachio Swizzle, while my wife had possibly the best Painkiller either of us has ever had.

And this evening we rode a ferry to Bainbridge Island and this was the first place to stop for a beer. A good Czech Dark Lager and a Brut Cider.

So I left my last HB to settle out in the Fermonster for the last 4-5 months... (horror!!) It was a Belgian Dubbel Sour to start, then life got in the way...and I simply didn't touch it. I won't show pics of the 'pedicle' (spelling) because it's a bit scary. I chose not to carbonate.

Wow...it's sour, and it's definitely a Belgian Dubbel...but it almost tastes like a port. Incredible. Very strong, and the last abv-ish reading was 11.9% a month ago. Not sure if I could do this again in my small home ( too impatient!!! ) but I'm pretty happy with this beerxperiment. Cheers!! I might have two! :D:mug:

There's an entire thread about "show us your pellicle" if you wanna go down that rabbithole.

SNPA. Foggy and damp this morning so no harvesting early. Did get the broken combine back together and finished the next-to-last field about an hour ago. We could finish tomorrow if we had a perfect (and really long) day. Realistically, we should finish on Thursday.
