HopFly FlowerTops IPA. DH is alll Citra and Citra Lupomax. Sometimes I get caught up with all the complex hop pairings and this is a nice reminder that simplicity is also VERY refreshing. Also happy to see they haven't really done "south" after expanding from a 10barrel system to a 30 barrel system (by moving their production and opening second location to Charlotte. Only knock is this particular beer had head retention issue. But everything else is great. Pics taken about 1minute apart lol.

Never had a pale doppelbock before. Really nice and strong malty flavor that is deceiving me due to color...then the alcohol warmths sneaks in and smooths it out for the finish. Like it a lot but damn at 9.6% it packs a punch!

Perhaps in the ABV % in that Belgian triples are VERY dangerous due to their ease of drinking but high abv. But there's no Belgian yeast party with this beer at all. Its a lager and the star of the party is the maltiness.
