Homebrew hazy double. It's my first brew of the style - generally not my favorite style, but I figured I'd give it a shot. Lots of C hops, simcoe, amarillo.
I bittered with quite a bit of co2 extract so it's definitely more bitter than the average commercial version I've had. Pretty good.

HB Irish Stout. This might be my closest attempt at cloning Guinness so far. More roasty and a little higher ABV than the Draught version, but much better than my last six or so attempts. I added 28 oz of sauergut made from stout wort to the end of the boil. It damn sure didn’t hurt anything.

Finally starting to feel back to normal, and my smell/taste is returning. So, why not go for a big one right off the bat?! Zero Issue Asylum series called Freeze. 11.5% of Bourbon barrel -aged Imperial stout. I know it's supposed to be a smoky, toasty malt-fest...hmm maybe my taste isn't normal yet.😅 Sigh..stupid Covid! Cheers!

Welp, we lost dad today from a 7 month long battle of Stage-4 cancer. He was the main reason I love piano. He was a Jazz Pianist most of his whole adult life. This is his favorite beer style so Cheers Dad until we meet again

Sorry to hear it, man. We spoke briefly awhile back when my mom was going through chemo for colon cancer, and you provided some kind words. It did not fall of deaf ears. My mom is currently in remission, and on the mend, but what she went through was awful. Peace to you and your family <3
