I have moved passed the rage drinking of my insipid holiday beer and moved into the vengeance drinking stage. A retaliatory recipe has been written and the wheels of reprisal are now in motion. Soon, these pusillanimous tropical hops will suffer the ignominy of the garbage disposal and be replaced by the power and glory of C-hops.

These effete tropical hops with their decadent hints of guava, passion fruit, and coy notes of lime shall be smitted and in their place shall rise a behemoth reeking of gas station air fresheners, lemon Pine-sol, and industrial citrus cleaning products!

Mark my words. Vengeance shall be mine!View attachment 754158
Well, someone is in their cups!

I thought we were done, but it’s only 9pm PST! Thank you @jack13!

Well, someone is in their cups!

Soon, but not yet. I've spent the prior two hours nursing two pils glasses of this tropical swill while plotting my revenge recipe.

Revenge is a dish best served cold....albeit with a slight buzz.

My first time ever having Lindemans Frambois Iambic. A bit sweet but very good ! Happy New Year HBT fam !!!View attachment 754162
Lindeman's gets a lot of flack from the purist side of the spectrum, but I'll be damned if I know of an outfit that outmatches them at producing a beer with a more vibrant, fresh fruit flavor.

Speaking as a brewer, they're *amazing* beers! I wish more brewers would give them the respect they deserve.

Ooooh, that's a good looking puzzle! So much green and blue and the the one area where you have some right angles is confused by a riot of color. That looks so fun.

How long did it take you?
Collaboration of 3 adults, 2 teens and 2 pre-teens over the course of 5 hours. 550 Pieces, Cinque Terre, Italy. The challenge was to complete the puzzle before the ball dropped. We failed that, but finished it before 1AM EST.

A good fun way to enjoy the framboise is to mix it 50/50 with Hoegarten's .. thus producing a "Dirty Hoe" .. it's a Philly Tradition! Takes the place of Mimosas at our brunches.

@seanjwalker1... if you have never had a Berliner Weiss, it is a slightly sour white ale usually enjoyed with added fruit syrup, thus producing a concoction very similar to the framboise... you can homebrew a very good Berliner Weiss facsimile using Philly Sour yeast. I like mine with (lettuce and tomata, big kosher pickle and french fried potata) pomegranate syrup.

You put a time limit on it? Nice! That's how I like to do puzzles, few do. Good stuff!!!!!

Glad to hear you finished it and stuck with it past 12.00am.

I dig it.

It was a fun social activity that engaged all ages... people actually put down their smartphones for a change ... especially fun for us since the puzzle was one of my DW's xmas presents and we have both been to Cinque Terre ... even our marginally autism spectrum 8 year old got in on the fun by helping to sort the pieces by color and pattern :) Plus, this puzzle is flippin' GORGEOUS!

Have you ever tried the Caskmates Series? Jameson aged in beer barrels... what more could you want?

I like the Stout Edition ... also I HIGHLY recommend a Jameson Old Fashioned with some 50/50 demerara sugar simple syrup, the "Three Wise Men" (peychauds bitters, agnostura aromatic bitters, agnostura orange bitters) and a fresh orange peel twist.

Witchcraft!!!!!!! Witchcraft!!!!!!!!!

I have no clue what a DW is, but it *must* mean Devil Worshiper. You hosted a social enterprise in which teens put down their cell phones, so obviously something supernatural was going on.

I say he's a witch!!!!

Let's weigh him and see if he's lighter than a duck.

DW = "Dear Wife" ... She and I MUST have a supernatural connection since she encourages and enjoys my homebrews and likes Adventinus dopple weizenbock

Assets are being deployed. Time will tell.
It also helped that we had a "sninner" menu in which several courses of appetizers were served in lieu of a main course... stuffed crust pizza. hummus and pita, chips with queso fundido, knishes, jalepeno poppers, chinese pot stickers, mini spanikopita, veggie spring rolls, coconut shrimp etc
