I have a Triple Ipa recipe where I use the same hops. I’m surprised how similar my beer is to this one. That said, The GMO yeast used by Green Cheek certainly increases the stone fruit character of the beer. I’ll give them the edge lol

I asked the manager of one of the liquor stores earlier today when he expects to see that. He said to not expect it until much closer to Christmas. And I’ve never seen it at the other two stores. Argh.

Yep, I believe so. I stopped into the store today to take one last advantage of October’s beer of the month sale (surly beers) and noticed it with a giant NEW ITEM sign in front of it. Bought a six pack and really enjoy it. Very chocolatey.

Alaskan Citrus Wheat. I bought an Alaskan sample pack because I always liked their Alaskan Amber and had never seen many of their other brews in the coolers in this part of the world. Frankly, I‘ve been a bit underwhelmed, so far.

My son attended the national FFA convention in Indianapolis this past week and got home this morning. He bought me this souvenir pint glass at the speedway. They even got to take a lap on the track in the charter bus they were on. He and I went for a quick deer hunt before dark and he was fortunate enough to fill his tag. Fresh deer tenderloin and beer for dinner.

My family’s deer sausage/ring/wiener recipe was absolutely amazing. My grandpa only gave the entire recipe to one of his sons. That son, my uncle, died young in a car accident and my grandpa followed just weeks later. The rest of the family tried and tried to replicate but never quite got there. I always loved the rings, but man, tenderloins and backstraps were my favorite
