OK, so it’s beer-thirty at 3:20; been out in the sun for awhile. HB Altbier.

This is the TDH version of my Golden RIPA.
Split batch. This one (6G) was fermented with Imperial Organics Dry Hop yeast.
DH Citra/Bru1 cryo 1oz each
DDH Rakau 2oz/Riwaka 1oz/Motueka 1 oz
TDH Bru1 cryo 1oz/Riwaka 1oz/Motueka 1oz
The DDH was more tropical/pineapple forward. I had extra that didn’t fit into my 5G keg and I usually like to compare the DDH to the TDH.
The TDH keg hops definitely brought the NZ hops to the next level. I like the way the peppery notes pair with the rye malts. This is my first NZ ipa without Nelson and it’s a repeat.
My last DIPA w Nelson also had Vic Secret/Nectaron/Citra cryo. One of my best IPAs yet.

Pilot car beer. Haybag Hefe. We had to relocate a swather from my BIL’s place, about 25 miles south of here. Fifteen mph top speed down the highway. Not much traffic so enough time to, literally, have one for the road.View attachment 733270
My sisters and mom always complain getting stuck behind tractors. My dad would always huff and mumble about farmers like him paying taxes for the roads too. He was a champion of that farmer salute/wave from the steering wheel. I think about him every time I do that.

OT: the last of my HB ipa. Cent, mosaic, Idaho 7.
